It is the first nationwide project for the collection of waste equipment from households, the purpose of which is to provide the public with an easy and safe way to dispose of waste electrical and electronic equipment directly from home and to promote ecological habits by pointing to the need for selective collection of equipment and increasing the amount of waste equipment reaching the right place for its further processing in accordance with the applicable regulations. The project won the 2nd place in the Entrepreneur Effective Raw Materials 2017 competition in the ECO-Hit Service category.
Integrated management system
To meet the client’s expectations and legal requirements, ELECTRO – SYSTEM has implemented and certified the Integrated Management System which meets the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015. The compliance with the established procedures and processes, employee training, carrying out audits at the subcontractors’ seats and quick response to the client’s comments and wishes allow for continuous improvement, increasing the quality of the services and taking effective actions to minimize the negative impact on the environment.
REMONDIS Group
The REMONDIS Group provides services to over 30 million inhabitants in 33 countries around the world. It has a network of its own 800 systems worldwide and employs 32,000 people. REMONDIS collects, processes and recycles nearly 30 million tonnes of raw materials annually. REMONDIS Electrorecycling, which is part of the Group, has 9 waste electrical and electronic equipment processing plants in Europe, two of which are located in Poland, as well as an extensive WEEE collection network based, among others, on the Group companies.
The Polish plants in Błonie and Łódź have an entry in the Waste Database and integrated permits allowing for processing of a total of nearly 70,000 tonnes of electronic waste per year in both plants. They implemented and certified the Quality Management systems in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 and Environmental Management in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14001:2015 as well as obtained certification of compliance with DIN EN ISO 50001:2011 regarding the recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment.
